Momy Muffins Conversation 1 | Best Day Ever

We all have our good days and our bad days.  Some days are better than others.  Sometimes things go exactly how we planned them to go!  On other days we can be disapointed by things that happen to us.  Sometimes it rains when we plan to play outside.  Sometimes friends get sick and can't come over.  There are times when something costs more than we excpected to have to pay.  Sometimes our favorite places are closed for cleaning and repair and sometimes our favorite toys break.  In anycase, we are looking forward to a day when God will be with us and there will be no more pain, sadness, or disappointment.  Read Revelation 21:1-4 Share why this future reality will be better than the best day ever!

Ask your child to share what their best day ever would look like?

· Where would they go?
· What would you eat for breakfast?
· For Lunch?
· For Dinner?
· Who would be there?
· What would the weather be like?
· What music would you listen to?
· What games would you play?

Daddy Donuts Conversation 1 | Sometimes We Need A Do-Over!

In the game of golf a do-over is called a mulligan. In Hollywood film making a do-over is called “take 2." After a bad picture day at school a do-over is called a “re-take!” Have you ever wished you could have a do-over? Maybe you would do over how you treated someone. Perhaps you would do-over something you said. Maybe you would re-do the way you reacted to someone. Maybe you would avoid going somewhere or doing something. If you could have a do-over what would you do over? Unfortunately, in life we don’t get very many “do overs”. We often have to live with the positive and negative consequences of our choices, actions and behaviors. Thankfully, God is one who is always willing to forgive us when we mess up. When we sin, he is willing to forgive us and offers us the chance to try again. Read 1 John 1:9

Talk about a time when you were a kid and you wished you could have a do-over.
Tell your child that you are interested in helping them learn to make wise choices in life.
Say a prayer and thank God for offering us forgiveness when we confess our sins to Him.
